Our little pre-teen

She may be 2 1/2 . . . .
She may look 4 . . . .
She thinks she's 12.

All of a sudden she thinks she has to take her pink purse (thanks Mandy) and her baby around with her everywhere. It is too cute to watch her try to keep the purse up on her shoulder and walk around like she's "miss thang"

New park

Emma had just begun to enjoy the little roadside slide close to our old house (see previous posts for picts)so I went out in search of another park to take her to. I found this one that had a climbing thing with three different slides. She loves it and wants to stop everyday after daycare now.

Here's her "climbing" up the spiral thingy. Of course I made a movie of it and then showed her how she could just climb up it like a ladder. Too cute how their little minds work. :)

Jumpin' thing

Thank you Kellie for letting us borrow the "jumpin' thing" Garrett loves it and it helps save mommys arms!

Great Grandparents

Great Grammie and Grampa came to visit us briefly Saturday night. Emma was a tad shy at first but by Sunday morning she was crawling all over them and loved haveing them there. It was so great that they got to come and see our new house and get to play with the kid as well as visit with us. We love you Great Grammie and Grampa!

White stuff

Can you see Garrett's first tooth begining to poke through? Sweet!

Let me out

Garrett doesn't like to be trapped in his carseat or any chair for very long if he's awake. We were at the old house Friday doing the last of the moving and cleaning. I'd left him in his carseat to take a nap while we worked in the garage. We came in to rest and eat a snack. I turned around to this picture . . .

The circus came to town

Tanya and Airy are the best Aunt and Uncle in the world! Who else could I turn to in my time of need? noone but them! I knew I wanted Emma to get to go to the circus but I also knew Matt and I would be busy un-packing Sat morning. So, I turn to trusty 'ol Tanya and Airy and they filled in for me. They took Emma to the Circus and she had a blast. . . personally I think she thought it was much better because it was a treat to get to go with Tanya and Airy alone. :) Here are a few of the 50 (no lie) pictures Tanya took. If you notice the spots on my child, it's not chicken pox. Apparently she had a virus that gave her tons of spots that looked like huge mosquitos bites all over her face, arms, legs, and feet. Tanya and Airy tried to teach her to yell 'unclean, unclean" while walking through the crowd so they could get to their seats but she wouldn't do it. I took her and Garrett 9he had a few on one arm) to Children's Hospital friday night from 10-12 to be sure it wasn't something real bad adn to be sure she could be in public the next day. I didn't want to freak her out so I told her we were going to "the night Doctor" which worked fine untill I let the word "hospital" slip once. Then she said (in her whiney voice) "nooo I don't wanna go to the hospital" SO I had to explain that only the hospital had night dr's and we were going to one where Mrs. Marci worked, though she wans't there that night and mommy used to work there when she was in my belly. All that seemed to calm her down. We didn't have to wait long, which was a blessing. The Dr was real nice and good with kids. Once she said "you are too cute. did you know that?" to which my modest daughter replys "yeah" (with a sheepish grin) This of course made the Dr. laugh. All that to say she was spotted at the circus her wonderful Aunt and Uncle took her to, but she enjoyed it nonetheless.

At the begining . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .getting close to the end . . . .

and what would an outing be without the I-man?
Happy Birthday Mr. Casey! What a way to celebrate!

who spoils you Emma? . . . . . . . . . . Tanya and Airy!

Circus shots

Student Axxcess begins

Emma and Isaac love being with the big kids and think they are just as big as them. Here's a couple of shots from Sunday eve.

1st Day

Emma and Garrett on our first day at daycare this year. I am excited I get to be the teacher in Garrett's room with 3-4 other kids. Emma is in the next room with a real nice lady. I also think I am going to like working for Mrs. Rachel. :)

The Big Slide

Mommy let go of some of her fears and let Emma try the big slide. Emma loves it now! It's all she wants to do. She went down it the other day and was so proud of herself. She couldn't wait to show daddy. So we went out yesterday morning and had a little family park time. It was nice. Daddy used the opportunity to say "Now you can go on the playplace at Pizza Hut and McDonalds with Isaac" (she has been afraid of heights thus far and wouldn't go up with Isaac(a fear mommy accidentally instilled in her))So Emma replys with "Yeah and Isaac will take care of me" Daddy and I both smiled at her and said "yeah baby Isaac will take care of you" Too cute!

Race for a Cure

Texarkana race is OCT 21st. My mom, Cheryl Pope, has been chosen the survivor to lead the race! Sweet! Remember to sign up and race either in Texarkana or Little Rock. It's truely important. . . . you can walk and not "race" if need be. . . . even walk pushing a stroller like I will be doing. :)

Emma Writes

Emma and I began to work on writing letters last night. Here are some of the fruits of our labor. Mind you she only 2 1/2 and I did have to tell her where to put the pen and when to draw. All that aside I think she did a pretty good job. :)

Here's her letter "G" for Granny and Garrett

The letter "D" (the one on the left was mine and the one on the right hers)

The letter "I" for Isaac

The letter "T" for Tanya

Big Trouble

ok somebody is in trouble . . . . my sweet little girl just started about "yesterday there was a puppy in our yard" ok no biggi there, a few weeks ago there was a dog in our yard because he'd gotten out of his fence. Then she goes on to "we have a puppy" I laugh and say "nO honey, we've never had a puppy" She says "yeah. Isaac do" SO we go through all of our friends who have dogs. Then she comes up with "when we get our big house we can get a puppy" I laugh even louder and say "NO honey puppies are a lot of work to take care of and Mommy doesn't want to take care of one right now. We can go visit our friends when we want to play with a puppy" She pouts then says "But I want a puppy" I smile and think 'this from the girl who is usuallly deathly afraid of all the puppies no matter the size?' I again reply "well I'm sorry baby but puppies are a lot of work and mommy doesn't want to get one now" she pouts again and then like a lightbulb goes on she lights up and says, with a smile, "when i go to grannys house and ho ho's tehre he can get me one at grannys house!" I laugh even more and say "no baby. ho ho's not getting us one. sorry" Then daddy came in the house and said something or anotehr and distracted her . . . thankfully. SO whoever put this idea in ehr head *couch TANYA cough* is in big trouble!

Gi-normous baby

Following in his Daddys footsteps, Garrett is a huge baby. At 4 1/2 months, he is in 6-9 month outfits and onsies. (Though he can still wear some 3-6 month pants). In an effort to decrease what we pack up and take to the new house I was trying clothes and shoes on him so we could return anything that didn't fit to Isaac. I tryed on some size 3 shoes (on package it says it's for 6-9 month olds) that Tanya and Aaron had bought him. They were too small! Here's a pict of him in a pair of Calebs size 5 sandals.

In Isaacs frog suit. Which fits him to a T. He is a jumping machine!

Playing with the big kids. He was screeching and screeching on the floor untill I drug out this chair and plopped him in it to sit with Emma and Isaac. He soooo wants to be a big kid and follow Emma around.

More WRC fun

We went to "the country" this afetrnoon with Isaac. Emma and Isaac had a ton of fun together. They splashed, slid down the duck slide, and rode on the crab. Isaac even got brave and went under the waterfall all by himself without mommy prompting. . . then of course Emma followed suit.

Garrett jumping at the pool. He refused to keep his hands and arms out of the seat. He kept them down and then continually leaned forward to naw on the seat itsself. I maintian he was trying to chew his way t freedom.
