A dressed up

This is how Emma chose to go to church the other night.

Getting their dairy

Nothing but the best of dietary fullfillment for our kids! A bowl of cheesedip from Senor Tequillas!

Sock Puppet

We like to watch "The Goodnight Show" every night before bed. They usually do a craft. Most of the time we do not have the items to do the craft right then so it doesn't get done. Tonight they did a sock puppet. She was really excited about it and really really wanted to do it. So, I went upstairs and found an old sock that had lost it's mate a while back in my drawer. She was the happiest 3 year old in the world. :)

Ice Cream for a Cure

In an effort to support Breast Cancer Research for Granny we sacrificed for Granny and bought this new ice cream tonight. We Love you Granny!

Grandparents Day

Before the Cheerleading event Friday night, there was the Grandparents Day program and lunch at Emma's school. I went up to the school from 8-11pm thursday night and helped the preK4 room mother and a friend of ours decorate the cafeteria. Friday morning they had Chapel then each grade sang a song or two about granparents. Of course, Emma and Isaac's class did the best! They looked so cute dressed up standing on stage . . . some of them singing. :) Then it was off to the classroom to show off their room to their Grandparents. Next came lunch in the cafeteria with their Grandparents. They had all made placemats for their Grandparents. There was also an optional picture station . . . . which of course we opted for! It was a fun morning. I'm so glad Granny and Big Daddy were able to come share this day with Emma. I'm also glad Garrett got to share the morning with Mrs. Joy, Joanna, Abigail, and Madigan.

Our "A Grandparent Picnic" themed room. (All of this thought up by the preK4 room mother)

Our little Cheerleader

Emma went to her first cheer clinic this week. It was a lot for a 3 year old to practice 4 nights in a row for 1 1/2 hours after a long day at school. But they made it work out. It wasn't all practice there was a snack, a few games and streching. All in all she had fun and felt quite big. And to finish off the week they all performed their routines at the half time show on friday night's football game!

We got down there and suddenly there were tears adn whineing that she didn't want to do it, she wanted her daddy.

Before the game. Avery, Gracen, and Emma.

She finally went with her group and did an awsome job! She was so proud of herself for doing so good when she came off the track.

Kickline anyone?!

Garrett's new dresser

Granny did an AWSOME job painting this dresser for Grarrett! Big Daddy did a SUPER job refinishing, fixing, and staining these dressers. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Green Monster scoreboard on one of the drawers. If you look closely the Red Sox are beating the Yankees!

A side view:

They found this dresser at a garage sale! Big Daddy added the baseballs on top but the bats and stencils were already there.

Brian Kinder concert

Since Emma was fever free since 2am today we went to the Main Library downtown to the Brian Kinder concert. we discovered Brian Kinder at Riverfest and have now been to two library concerts. He's a fun children's music man. Ms. Kellie and Isaac went too! We got there and let the kids read books and play in the bear cave.

Then time for the concert. Garrett danced through some of it and sat in my lap for some of it. He surprised me by going right up to Ms. Terri and giving her a hug during a song.

Emma and Isaac had a bunch of fun!

What a leader

Garrett is a leader among his friends. He loves his friend Joseph (aka JoJo) at daycare. As soon as we pull into the parking lot he begins calling "jo jo, jojo" Jo feels the same about Garrett. Jo is about 25-26 months old. Garrett is 17 months old. Today I was lazy and only had socks on Garrett. I just stuck his shoes in my purse and carried him inside. After he and Jo had been playing a little while. Jo kept saying "shoe off" to his mom (Mrs. Jennifer B) She finally took off his shoes and socks thinking they must be huring for him to keep asking fo rthem to come off. As soon as she got them off Jo says "Now I like Garrett" HA! What a leader my little boy is!

at 17 months

Garrett can:

Tell you what a cat, dog, bird (caw and tweet) say
Cheer for Red Sox and Boo for Yankees
Say many many words
Understands much more than I think most of the time
Loves taking a bath with his sister
Loves to read books
Loves balls and trains/cars

God made me well

Emma was sick and throwing up last night (sorry Kellie). She stayed home with Daddy today. (thanks Daddy!) When I got home her meds were helping and she was feeling good. She was so excited she told me "I feel better. God made me well" I smiled and said "That's great baby. I'm so glad"

An hour or so later, I needed t go to Kroger and get more tylenol and advil I asked her if she wanted to go with me and she said "no. I don't want to get anyone sick. I'll stay here with Daddy. You can wave to me in the window" Too cute.

Later tonight eveing I asked her if she cared if brother and I went somewhere for a while. She said "No. don't go. Mommys make you feel better" . . . . How could I go after that?!

seperate baths

Emma, Garrett, and I were coloring at the table. I looked over and said "Garrett, bath time" He got excited and ran to the steps like always. He stopped and looked behind hima dn started crying. I asked "what's wrong baby" He said "bath, bath" I replied "you are going to get a bath" He kept crying and ran back to the dining room and kept pulling on Emma crying "bath bath" Apparently it isn't bath time unless sissy is in there too. . . . it was too cute!

50th wedding anniversary

We went to Natick last week for Great Grammie and Grampa's 50th wedding anniversary. We were a surprise for them. :) We had a lot of fun while we were up there. Here are a few of the trips highlights.

We ate Dunkin Donuts a bunch! Sorry Tanya we didn't mail any back this time.

We went to the beach! It was cold and overcast in a 10 minute bubble around the coast. It was the first time the kids had ever been to a beach so they didn't care at all. They played in the water and in the sand untill they couldn't stop shivering and their lips were blue.

Cute picture

The anniversary party was western themed. We all dressed up. Emma and Garrett loved the dirt/gravel parking lot. They played in it all night. They also both danced along with the Johnny Cash tribute band. It was a fun time.

Renewing their vows

We also ate lunch at a local landmark, Park Street Ice Cream. Then we went to the common right outside and ate the ice cream and played in the grass.

We also went to two different, fun parks for the kids to play at. They were both great. The second one was super, it had to have been planned by a mom!

Family fun.
