New Design

Although Marti was very fond of the previous color scheme, many of you noticed that it didn't work well in Mozilla Firefox. Rather than take the time to figure out why, I decided to take the lazy way out and just use a new template for a while. Ain't it puuuurdy?

EDIT: Ugh... this was working fine earlier today, but now it appears the graphics aren't loading properly in Firefox... so I changed it again.

Frog and Toad

We have season tickets to the Children's Theater here in LR. So far we've seen two shows. The first was great. The second was good for older kids. Last night we went to a "Members Only" shindig. We got dressed up kinda nice. We went in, they sang a cute song about cookies (they being the frog and toad characters), we went out to the lobby and got our frog and toad book signed by "the birds". Next we got in line to have our picture taken with frog and toad. At first Emma was haveing none of the picture taking but we convinced her Daddy would hold her and we'd all be up there. So she agreed. We went up and took a couple of pictures. We went back out to the lobby for popcorn, cookies, and punch. We went back in for one last musical number when Emma remembered she didn't have frog and toad sign her book. This time she ran up on stage by herself and butted in front of other big kids to get toad to sign her book. She ran back to us. We asked her "did they both sign?" She looked at her book and said "No" so she ran back up there and got frog to sign it. So she was slow to start about going up on stage then we had to tell her to come back off the stage. It was a fun little outing for the family.

Garrett in class

Garrett is in the 1-2 year old class at daycare. He is not happy unless he's doing what the rest of the class is doing. I had to find room at the table for him to be with the big kids during lesson time. He looks so cute with them.

Rain Rain

Emma loves her raincoat and umbrella Grammie got her. She loves using it even if there's only a few sprinkles coming down. She had a ton of fun getting to hold it over her brother in the shopping cart.

Thanksgiving 2006

We went to Granny and Big Daddy's for Thanksgiving. it was a bunch of fun getting to spend time with Granny, Big Daddy, Me-me, Po-po, and Aunt Tanya! Garrett and Emma ended up with nasty colds with cough most of the time. Garrett spent most of the nights and several hours of the days sleeping on Granny and mommy's chest. He may be a tad spoiled this next week. Emma loved getting to play tea party and listening to Po-po's coo-coo clock.

Garrett ate turkey, corn, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and, fruit puffs.

Girls Night Out

This week Emma and I went to McDonalds and let her run around the playplace for a long while. Then we went to Toys R Us to make a Christmas List. She had fun running here and there looking at all the toys and getting to touch whatever she wanted. She was so sweet, half the things she got excited about were for Garrett or Isaac. She'd run up to a Thomas toy and say "Isaac would like this on his list!" or up to a truck and say "This would be good for Brother" What a sweetie!

bonding

The other night I put Garrett down for a late nap. I went to the kitchen to start dinner. I then went downstairs to find this!

Tanya and Jesus said I could

Our smart daughter doesn't say "the devil made me do it" no she chooses to say things like "Jesus said I could" when I tell her ot put her paper down adn eat her dinner. The other night when she wanted fruitsnacks and apparently I wasn't listening. She got her play phone out and was saying "yeah, tanya I want fruitsnacks. Ok. bye" Then she turns to me and says "Tanya said I could have fruitsnacks" So, if she wants something apparently she has Jesus and Aunt Tanya in her corner. :) Ah the joys of a almost 3 year old's imagination!

Friday Fun

Ready for the Zoo

Yesterday we went to the zoo and the park all before lunch. It was nice weather outside so we went out. It was a great morning just Mommy and the kiddos. Since we had nowhere to go later and no one else with us we were able to see what Emma wanted to see at the zoo. Spend as much or as little time at each animal and leave when mommy wanted. Then we went to a little park close to PV. Emma and mommy played while Garrett slept in the (locked/windows down) car.

Emma fed the sheep by throwing the food over the fence. We got to see a mommy and baby gorilla!

This was the first time Garrett really watched what we were doing. He enjoyed trying to reach Emma through the stroller and trying to stand up in the stroller. He loved the slight breeze we had and seeing kids run by when we passed them. What he loved the best was when he got moved to the front so he could use the try to snack and Emma walked right next to him holding his hand. She really is a good big sister to him. A little too rough sometimes but all in all a great big sister!

Sweeping

Emma wanted to sweep so I told her she could go sweep off the back porch. Tanya and I went out there a couple of minutes later and she was sweeping the leaves on the ground.

GO Cards

For Po-po and all our Jeff City family, Thanks for outfitting my kids properly. :)

Up, up, and away

Garrett will be climbing (and falling) up the steps very soon. Here's what he's learned so far. Thankfully all he does is put aleg up then fall back down.

Go Pats

Thye reluctant Dragon

We went to another Children's Theater play Sunday. This time we took Mrs. Kellie and Isaac. It was well done but since tehre were no songs or dancing it was harder for our two to follow. At first, they were both a little worried about there being a dragon that would be scary. But they didn't even try to dress the guy up like a dragon so I think that confused them as well. It was still a fun outing with part of the Rine family.

Boy dress up

Casey has done a good job putting up with his son dressing up like a fairy, ballerina, and princess when he's at our house. I know most Daddies don't want their son's dressing up like that. But you know you work with what you've got. We had a girl first so we had a ton of girl dress up clothes. Now we have a firman hat adn a hard hat. So here's a picture for Casey and the other Daddies whose son's have had to play dress up with girls. :) Thanks for being so understanding!

Picnic

We just had a picnic at the park with Daddy for lunch. Daddy drove over here and we packed up the picnic basket and we went to the park. We ate and played real quick because it was really chilly and Daddy had to get back to work. Though it was a quick trip it was still fun, involved lots of laughs, and was memorable that Daddy drove all the way from work just to picnic with us!
